This Privacy Policy describes how Sarathi Services Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Jyotish Sarathi Kundaliapplication (the "App"), available on Google Play (package: com.jyotish_sarathi.app), Microsoft Store, and macOS. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Birth Details: Date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth — entered by you to generate Kundali (birth charts), perform Kundali matching, and run astrological calculations.
  • Saved Profiles: Names and birth details of profiles you save within the App for repeated use.
  • Payment Screenshots: If you subscribe to a premium plan, you make payment via the QR code displayed in the App and send a screenshot of your payment confirmation to us through WhatsApp or other social media messaging platforms.
  • WhatsApp / Social Media Contact: When you send a payment screenshot, we receive your phone number or social media profile information.
  • Cloud Sync Data (Premium Users): If you are a subscribed premium user, your saved profiles, Kundali data, and app settings may be synced to our cloud servers so you can access them across multiple devices.

2.2 Locally Stored Data

Offline-First Design

Jyotish Sarathi Kundali is primarily an offline application. All astrological calculations — including Kundali chart generation, Dasha periods, Panchanga, Ashtakavarga, planet transits, and Kundali matching — are performed locally on your device using Suryasiddhanta and Drik Siddhanta algorithms. Your birth details and saved profiles are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers for performing calculations. However, premium subscribers who opt into cloud sync will have their saved data backed up to our servers to enable cross-device access.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics to help us prioritize improvements.
  • Crash Reports: Automatic crash and error reports to help us identify and fix bugs.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To Perform Astrological Calculations: Birth details are used locally on your device to generate Kundali charts, Dasha periods, Panchanga, planet transits, Ashtakavarga, Kundali matching, and other Vedic astrology features.
  • To Improve the App: Anonymous usage analytics and crash reports help us fix bugs, improve features, and optimize performance across Android, macOS, and Windows platforms.
  • To Manage Subscriptions: Payment screenshots sent via WhatsApp or social media are reviewed to verify your payment and manually activate or upgrade your premium subscription.
  • To Provide Multi-Language Support: Language preference (English, Hindi, or Nepali) is stored locally to deliver the App in your preferred language.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Local Storage: Your birth details, saved profiles, and calculation results are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the App will remove this locally stored data.
  • Cloud Storage (Premium Users): If you are a premium subscriber with cloud sync enabled, your data is also stored securely on our cloud servers.
  • Platform Security: The App relies on the security features provided by your device's operating system to protect locally stored data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

  • Your birth details and Kundali data are not shared with any third party. Cloud-synced data for premium users is stored solely for the purpose of enabling cross-device access for your account.
  • Anonymous crash reports and usage analytics may be processed by third-party analytics services (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics for Android).

6. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services depending on the platform:

  • Android: Google Play Services, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics
  • macOS: Apple crash reporting (optional)
  • Windows: Microsoft Store services

7. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions depending on the platform:

  • Internet Access: Required for loading location data, checking for updates, and sending anonymous analytics.
  • Storage Access: Required to save and export Dasha charts as PDF or images.

8. Data Retention

Your locally stored data persists only as long as the App is installed. You can delete individual profiles within the App or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data. For premium users with cloud sync enabled, cloud-stored data is retained as long as your subscription is active. Anonymous analytics data may be retained on third-party analytics platforms for up to 14 months.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Your Rights

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:

  • You can view, edit, or delete any saved profiles within the App at any time.
  • You can uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
  • You can contact us to request information about any analytics data associated with your device.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
